Deepika Balachander is a software engineer with over a decade of experience in the tech industry, including 3.5 years at Microsoft and 8.5 years at Google. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering from RV College of Engineering (Bangalore) and an M.S. in Computer Networking from North Carolina State University.

Deepika is passionate about mathematics, algorithms, and coding, with a strong focus on building efficient and elegant technical solutions. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and running, embracing challenges both in nature and in technology. As a parent she enjoys spending time with her son.

Deepika leads the STEM Education Program at Coding Bunnies, where her passion for inspiring young minds in STEM—and Computer Science in particular—shines through. She volunteers her time to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that broaden children’s curiosity and confidence in technology.

Instructor:

Gurudas is the founder and CEO of Coding Bunnies LLC. He is a 7th grader at The Overlake School with a passion for teaching and technology. He began leading camps and workshops at the age of 8 and has since taught at schools such as The Eton School and Glendale International School.

Outside of coding, Gurudas enjoys speed cubing, soccer, Fortnite, and experimenting in the kitchen. He competed at the U.S. Nationals for speed cubing and was selected for the Kids Baking Championship thanks to his creative flair in baking.

Gurudas does a lot of volunteering work and has raised money for causes close to this heart since he was 7 years old. He is the recipient of Presidential Gold volunteer service award for two years in a row.
